The team

Myriam Deblanc CEO

Myriam Oualha Deblanc is proud of her multicultural background (Tunisian, French & Austrian) and grateful to have lived in 4 countries. This background has helped her adapt and thrive in an ever-changing, multicultural world, whilst maintaining her entrepreneurial spirit. Prior to joining capital markets in 1999, Myriam succeeded as a special envoy, convincing leading British clothing brands to manufacture in Tunisia. This was followed by experience in the finance department of Proctor & Gamble which taught her about multinational businesses. Myriam then made the switch to financial services, joining Commerzbank. She developed new markets in the private bank sales team and introduced the first equity convertibles in Lebanon & Israel. She then joined Royal Bank of Cananda and issued the first in-house equity derivative product. Myriam and her team led the distribution for Europe, Switzerland, and the Middle East, focussing on large private banks and independent financial advisors. Myriam consequently setup ProFin Partners in 2009, which she still runs and is the sole owner.

Robbie Shepherdson Investment Advisor

Robbie joined ProFin Partners in October 2021 with a focus on the UK market and our ESG offering. Robbie joined from JP Morgan Private Bank where he worked supporting portfolio managers and investors in a variety of financial products, both on day-to-day trading and strategic projects. Before this he graduated from Loughborough University with a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate and the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA UK. Robbie grew up in Edinburgh and plays hockey internationally for Scotland. He also continues to play golf and football, whilst remaining an avid fan of all sport.

Adrian Butterworth Compliance Consultant

Adrian joined ProFin as Compliance Officer in May 2023 and has a wide range of experience in UK corporate law requirements having worked in asset management as well as investment, corporate and private banking. He assists the team with all aspects of regulation and compliance as well as some operational aspects of the business.

Andrew Crabb Operations Manager

Andrew joined ProFin Partners in March 2023 as an Operations Specialist. Prior to joining ProFin, he spent most of his career in the City of London for Legal & General Investment Management in the Investment Operations department as a Cash Reconciliation specialist.

Kurt Sampson Strategic Advisor

Kurt is a successful entrepreneur, impact investor and Advisor. Former senior executive of Standard and Pool’s having risen through the ranks to become head of one of S&Ps most profitable business units, leading a 100 member team. After S&P, Kurt launched his own Fintech company identifying a gap for European Structured Products, the company was sold to a key market player. Kurt holds different positions, currently working on two starts up and owns Sweet Homes LLC an impact investing business in the US.

Olga Pavlova Strategic Advisor

Olga holds a PhD in mathematics and is an experienced risk management professional. Here current interests are in the area of risk management, compliance, education and digital disruption. Prior to be coming independent she worked at UBS, Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank heading quantitative risk management teams. She is a member of several angel investment committees.

Sonia Lemasson Strategic & Wealth Advisor

Sonia is a Belgian senior financial advisor, with more than 20 years’ experience in the Banking Sector in Luxembourg. She developed her skills in various banking areas including custodian banking, financial investments and private banking. At the end 2021, she created My Personal Office to provide and outsource, B2B and B2C Wealth Management solutions. She previously worked in Bemo Europe for more than 5 years and had an 18-year spell with BNP Paribas.
